KidQuest

Terms of service

Reading feature update: Book quizzes have been retired. Kids now request reading credit from parents, and KidQuest makes no OpenAI calls. Optional external searches use a filtered children’s catalog from Open Library. The dated notice below is retained as the record of the published agreement, including historical quiz processing.

Kid sign-in choice: Parents choose between profile cards with pets and private nickname-and-PIN entry during family setup, and can change the choice in Family settings. Profile cards are the default for existing families: anyone with the family link can see child nicknames and current pets before sign-in. Private entry keeps those details hidden. A child’s PIN is required with either choice.

These terms govern KidQuest, operated by KidQuest LLC. Version 2026-10-22. An adult parent or legal guardian accepts these terms; the privacy notices explain collection, internal use and parental choices.

1. An adult starts and manages the family

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter an agreement. You must be the parent or legal guardian of each child you add and have authority to authorize that child’s use. Do not add someone else’s child without that authority. Children use parent-created profiles; they do not accept this agreement themselves. KidQuest is for personal household use. Schools, camps, clinicians and organizations need a separate arrangement before using it with children.

Intended service countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. If local law imposes additional parental authorization or privacy requirements, those requirements continue to apply. Do not misrepresent age, authority or account information.

2. Accounts, family links and access codes

Parents manage the family using their adult email and password. Children enter their nickname and four-digit PIN through the private family link. Keep links, passwords, PINs and signed-in devices private. The unauthenticated family entry does not list child identities. Change exposed credentials, rotate the family link and sign out shared devices. No short PIN or private link guarantees security. Helper access and external calendar subscriptions are unavailable. These precautions do not remove our own security duties.

3. Generated quizzes, art and educational limits

AI helps research public books and prepare reusable quiz questions. Book entry stays in KidQuest by default. A parent can enable Open Library search for children, sending the typed book query through our server without child identifiers or reading history, or search the catalog themselves. Enter published book titles/authors only. OpenAI receives server-controlled public catalog metadata, public book research and an application-wide safety identifier, without child/family identifiers, names, grades, answers, progress, household schedules or arbitrary request text. Stored AI responses are disabled; this does not promise zero provider retention of public book processing.

Generated quizzes may be inaccurate, biased, unsuitable or contain spoilers. Parents should review books and disputed questions, use the parent reading-review tools and disable quizzes if needed. Quiz scores are not formal grades, diagnoses or proof that a child read a book. Generated artwork/content may not be unique or protectable.

4. Information and parental choices

An adult separately accepts these Terms and gives parental consent for the described collection and internal use of children's information. We send the direct notice with a parental-consent link to the adult's email. Child participation starts when the adult completes that consent. Existing families must complete the current flow too; we do not infer old consent from having an account.

Parents can withdraw consent and stop child participation, request review/correction/deletion and contact support@kidquest.win. Withdrawal, profile deactivation and cancellation are not themselves erasure. Requests and retention exceptions are handled as described in the notices. Terms acceptance is not consent to behavioral advertising, sale, unrelated marketing or optional nonessential disclosures.

5. Family rewards, games and trades

Parents choose and fulfill household allowances, chores and prizes. KidQuest is not a bank, payment account, investment or escrow service. Displayed dollars/tokens and promised family rewards are household records, not money held by KidQuest. KidQuest does not owe or guarantee payment of a parent’s promised reward.

Cards, pets, berries, tickets, votes and other virtual items are licensed features, have no cash value with KidQuest and are not redeemable from us for cash. Random rewards are not a promise of a specific item. Parents should supervise permitted family trades and reward requests. Do not sell accounts, virtual items or access codes outside the app. We may correct errors, exploits or invalid rewards while respecting applicable law and preserving legitimate data where reasonably possible.

6. Optional subscriptions and cancellation

An adult reviews the actual price, billing interval, taxes, capacity, renewal terms and any proration in secure Checkout before purchasing. Selecting a plan during setup does not itself authorize a charge. Paid plans renew as disclosed at purchase until canceled; trial or free access has its own displayed limits. Future prices or material billing changes will be disclosed as required by law.

Manage or cancel renewal in Billing. Canceling normally leaves access available through the paid term shown there; profiles and saved progress are preserved subject to the privacy notice and any data-deletion request. Refund eligibility follows the terms shown at purchase and mandatory consumer law; these terms do not create a blanket no-refund rule. Payment failures, disputes or a reduced plan may restrict paid features or active child capacity. Stripe/Link process payments under their applicable terms and privacy policies.

7. Appropriate use

Do not harass, impersonate, exploit or endanger others; submit unlawful or infringing content; test stolen credentials; bypass family/role restrictions or rate limits; introduce malware; scrape private information; automate reward farming; or interfere with the service. Do not probe other families’ links or PINs. Report security issues privately using the contact below. Good-faith, authorized security reports are welcome.

Do not use KidQuest to track a person without appropriate permission or as an emergency, custody, location-verification or child-safety monitoring service. A schedule entry, completion or game result may be inaccurate or delayed. Check important pickups, allergies, responsibilities and rewards directly with the people involved.

8. Your content and our materials

You keep any rights you have in your family’s submitted content. You grant KidQuest a limited, nonexclusive permission to host, copy, process, transmit and display it only to operate, secure and support the features you request and meet legal obligations, as described in the privacy notice. You must have the necessary rights to submit it. This is not permission to publicly advertise with a child’s identity.

KidQuest software, characters, designs and other protected materials belong to their respective owners. You receive a limited personal permission to use the service while following these terms. Do not redistribute protected book passages or third-party art without permission. Book names and related trademarks belong to their owners; inclusion is not an endorsement. AI output may not be unique or protectable; no exclusive ownership or non-infringement guarantee is made.

9. Connected apps and outside services

Cloudflare hosts/stores the service and delivers account emails. Stripe/Link processes optional adult payments. Open Library supports parent public-book lookups and optional parent-enabled child title searches; OpenAI prepares public-book questions without child-specific data. Other products may use the same adult sign-in but maintain separate data. KidQuest does not import their meals or transmit child records or votes to them. Meals are family-managed choices inside KidQuest. Read applicable provider notices; using providers does not waive our legal duties.

10. Changes, interruptions and ending access

Features, book availability, game balance and devices supported may change. Outages, bugs, failed saves and interrupted connections can occur. Keep your own copy of important household records. We may limit or suspend access reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, legal requirements or nonpayment; when appropriate we will give notice and a way to resolve the issue. Mandatory refund, data-access and deletion rights survive.

You may stop using KidQuest, cancel renewal and request account closure/data deletion. Signing out, uninstalling, disabling a profile and canceling renewal are different actions. Retention and any lawful exceptions are described in the privacy notice. We will not treat account closure as permission to retain child information indefinitely.

11. Warranties and responsibility

To the extent applicable law permits, the service and generated content are provided as available without a promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure in every circumstance or suitable for every purpose. We do not guarantee educational outcomes or payment of household rewards. Mandatory consumer guarantees remain in effect.

To the extent applicable law permits, neither party is responsible to the other for unforeseeable indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. This does not limit responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, applicable personal-injury liability, or our statutory privacy, security or consumer-protection obligations. These terms do not require a parent or child to waive nonwaivable rights or accept responsibility for our unlawful conduct.

12. Questions, disputes and applicable law

Contact support@kidquest.win with account, security, billing, content or privacy concerns so we can try to resolve them. You may use any court, regulator or consumer remedy available under applicable law; these terms impose no mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver. Operator’s home jurisdiction: Virginia, USA. Mandatory protections of the law applicable to you continue to apply.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. We may transfer the service only subject to applicable law and the privacy protections governing the information; any required notice or fresh consent must be provided.

13. Updates and contact

We keep dated terms/notices and server-owned agreement and parental-consent records. Prior published releases remain archived. Material changes receive required notice and new consent where required; continued use does not substitute for a required grant. Contact the operator about privacy, security, billing or content concerns.
